Looking for fun and educational activities for your kids this summer and fall?  Well, look for the Recreation Partnership’s new brochures! They are distributed to all kids in school so check with them now to take a look!  Extra copies are available at the Town Hall, Ithaca Youth Bureau office, or check with Dominic Frongillo at 539-7335. 

As many of you know, the Town of Caroline is an active partner in The Recreation Partnership, an inter-municipal organization involved in planning and organizing recreational activities for youths in Tompkins County.  Caroline is one of seven Towns involved, as well as the City of Ithaca, the Village of Lansing, and Tompkins County.  The Partnership provides a wonderful opportunity for our kids to participate and interact with youths from all over the county and is a great way for Caroline to take advantage of the facilities and management of youth programs through the Ithaca and Tompkins County Youth Bureaus.

Click here for a list of programs sponsored by the Recreation Partnership this summer and fall; more information and program registration forms are available in the Recreation Partnership brochure.  There is wide variety of programs available for all ages of kids.  Many programs have limited space so sign up early.  Scholarship applications are also included in the brochure for those eligible for financial assistance through the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Recreation Partnership Scholarship Fund.

Since Caroline is a Recreation Partnership member, youths participating pay only one-half the fees charged to non-participating municipalities.  The Ithaca Youth Bureau Recreation Division is the program provider, while the Tompkins County Youth Bureau gives planning and financial coordination.  If you have any questions about the Recreation Partnership, or have ideas for new programs and activities, contact Dominic Frongillo at 539-7335.
