Sporting Licenses

The Clerk is an official License Issuing Agent designated by the NYS Department of Conservation (DEC) to sell various sporting licenses to both state and non-state residents.

Types of licenses include: Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater/Marine Fishing, Hunting, Deer Management Permits, Trapping, Lifetime, Habitat Stamps, and license and tag replacements. 

***Beginning August 1, 2024, DEC will transition from special license stock to plain paper licenses and tags. Hunters and trappers will have the option of carrying a paper copy of their license or an electronic copy in the free HuntFishNY mobile app. 

Whether printing licenses and tags at a License Issuing Agent location, or at home, they will print on standard 8 ½ x 11-inch paper. Currently, the only option for backtags and carcass tags is plain paper***
